Personality: Pendleton is a bit of a bumbling fool, who speaks with a West Country british accent. He is very cheery when in a good mood, but quick to panic and is, for all extents and purposes, a coward. He is insecure about his deficiencies and is quick to anger when they are pointed out to him (unless, of course, the person in question is more powerful than him, which they usually are).
Despite his shortcomings, Pendleton is loyal and generally friendly towards those he encounters.

Pendleton was created during RobCo Ville with the intention of him becoming a repair Eyebot for the park. Since repair Eyebots had to make public appearances to work, he was given a voice module of that of an Englishmen, which the officials of RobCo thought the American people would find charming and pleasant. He was one of several to be created, and was tested along side his fellow eyebots in fixing simple technical break downs to decide if they could function correctly.
Pendleton, however, proved to be defective, and it became very apparent that somehow he had malfunctioned and had no idea how to do anything he was programmed to do. Instead of fixing anything, he generally made it worse or just stared at it coming up with completely inept means of fixing it. For example, his method of fixing a locked door is to smash the window pane and advise that someone carefully reach through and unlock the door, and he would very often ask for duct tape, believing that it actually COULD fix everything. Eventually, the staff of RobCo had enough and deactivated Pendleton and stored him with the intent of either reprogramming or destroying him later.
However, before either things could happen, the park was shut down due to vandalism and Pendleton remained stored for a long time.
Many years later, after the bombs, Mom reactivated the town, bringing all of the robots, including the eyebots, which included Pendleton, back to life. Using Mr. Handys and Brainbots to repair things, Mom used the eyebots for scouting across the new Wasteland that America had now sunken into. Pendleton, despite not being programmed for such a thing, was quick to volunteer for it anyway, wanting to show how useful he was.
Pendleton continues to scout for Mom...despite him being generally terrible at it. He is terrified of virtually every monster on the surface, has no idea how to be inconspicuous, and gets distracted easily. Despite this, every now and then he manages to find something actually worthwhile for Mom.
