Dave chuckled at Jacob's concern. "Certainly makes mah world better. Shootin' folk is how ah eat" Dave was about to sit down when Liam walked up to him.
"Davey. Not too shabby, watch this."
Dave sat down and started slotting fresh rounds into his revolver as Liam readied his shot. The bullet went right through the can, which span wildly and landed several feet away. Dave whistled appreciatively when the can landed, he snapped his revolver's cylinder shut and turned his attention to his pistol. He slipped the magazine from it's bottom, and rummaged through his bag until he found a plastic container full of spare .45 rounds. He reloaded the magazine with fresh bullets as he talked to Liam.
"Good shot, good shot, partner. But, ya'll know what they say about man with big guns..." Dave wiggled his little finger, laughed and smacked Liam on the back. "Ah'm just kiddin' buddy, now let's go get that book".
Dave began aimlessly wandering around Novac with Samantha, trying to find the book Jacob had given them very little description about. Dave wasn't sure what good the book would do, but Jacob seemed adamant to get it, and Dave was happy to help. He decided to talk to Samantha while they searched.
"So...Samantha weren't it? Might as well chat as we search, ah got a feelin' this is gonna take a while. Why don't ya'll tell me about ya'll-self?"
As Samantha talked, Dave led them on a lazy stroll around the motel. As they were strolling under the great shadow made by the Dinosaur, Dave suddenly noticed a strange pile of rocks covered in a thin layer of dust. Dave knelt down, and started moving the rocks out of the way, when they were moved, Dave scooped handfuls of dirt out of the way. His hand suddenly scraped in something. He pulled out a dirt covered plastic zip-bag with a definitely book-shaped object inside.
"Samantha. Ah think we found it"

Samantha and Dave searched togheter while doing so Dave talked to Samantha
"So...Samantha weren't it? Might as well chat as we search, ah got a feelin' this is gonna take a while. Why don't ya'll tell me about ya'll-self?"
she looked at him and saw the cowboys face, pretty nice for an cowboy she thought, but she wanted Jacob, no matter what. she felt a bit supprised that someone asked about her background, then she thought about what she did in her past and felt fear, fear for being caught. so she said to Dave
I'm Samatha, the rest is none of your business, now keep searching, I want to make Jacob happy
but she already had other plans, If they found the book, she would steal it and run of. she would't be messed with, if she didn't got what she wanted, nobody did. while thinking of this plan Dave's voice was heared again.
"Samantha. Ah think we found it"
she walked over towards Dave and saw the bag with the book shaped object in it, before Dave could grab it she took the book.
Let me see it Dave
she quickly looked trough the book and saw that it was written in the same language as Jacob spoke so she knew it was good, dave was still crouched near the hole, Samantha on the other hand was standing. she silently got out her knife

Then she stabbed him in his leg where he was leaning on and ran of, leaving the knife in his leg with the book under her arm she ran South-East, because she could'nt ran towards North because of Jacob, and not West because of her past, she took her hiding in the abbandoned cottenwood cove
Mister Coltrane saw samatha ran past the Camp with the book, he didn't saw Dave so he ran on his way with leaning heavy on his cane towards the dino, and saw Dave lying on the ground with a knife in his leg.
Oh my God dear boy, I guess Samantha was behind this, saw her running with the book, shit have my cane. we need help. Jacob! Ray! Liam! Marilyn! come quick!
Ray and Jacob where in the north of town smoking healing powder and searching and laughing when they heared Mister C yelled for help, fear struck their hearths
Jacob? its not what I think it is right?
but Jacob already ran past the several buildings and came towards the Dino, Ray just a few second later, Liam and Marilyn already where there.
Naaaah Mon, Wah are wi gonna do?
Jacob and Ray stood there with not knowing what to do, hoping Marilyn or Liam had some medical know how.

This book didn't seem all that important really, there were many books in existance, and surely there'd be a second copy of this one, unless it was a journal of sorts. Whatever it was, it wasn't in the building Marilyn and Liam searched. They walked outside, and checked the perimeter for any holes of sorts.
Of course there was nothing, and when Marilyn and Liam heard Mr. Coltrane yell for help, they both ran close, thinking one of their friends got hurt. They both were informed when they approached Dave, who had a knife in his leg. Dave came across as a flirty feller, and he was matched with Samantha.
"You been fuckin' around with Medusa, Davey?"
Liam wasn't a field medic, but he did have minor training, and he knew that moving the muscle could cause permanent damage, and he had to inform Dave and the group, lest they cause his leg to be wonky for the rest of his life. Instead, he told the group, and began work on stabilizing him enough to move him to a doctor.
"Guys and Gal, we can't be moving Davey just for the current moment, could fuck his leg up badly. I'm gonna do my best to stop that from happening, and then we'll all work on moving him to the doc."
Upon making sure his leg wouldn't move, he got the rest of the people to pick him up on the other leg, and body, Liam held his leg, not wanting it to move. He remembered there was a doctor across the other side of Novac, and he would move him there.

Dave collapsed sideways, yelling out a string of swear words. "God fucking dammit! Sweet Christ on a shit biscuit this hurts" Dave scrabbled desperately as his revolver, but his left hand was slick with blood from trying to staunch the flow. He tried to stand up on his other leg, but the shock in his system made him fall over again. Suddenly, Mr.Coltrane came hobbling around the corner on his cane. His eyes went wide, and he cried out.
"Oh my God dear boy, I guess Samantha was behind this, saw her running with the book, shit have my cane. we need help. Jacob! Ray! Liam! Marilyn! come quick!"
Within a few short seconds everyone was around him, fussing over him and trying to help him up. "You been fuckin' around with Medusa, Davey?" "Not that ah know of. Maybe ah'm batter than ah thought" Not surprisingly, Liam took charge. "Guys and Gal, we can't be moving Davey just for the current moment, could fuck his leg up badly. I'm gonna do my best to stop that from happening, and then we'll all work on moving him to the doc."
Dave was getting uncomfortable from all the attention. "Will you people get offa me! Let me down will ya!" When they lowered him to the ground, Dave just sat there, looking up at their concerned faces, and burst out laughing.
"Look at you folk! Actin' like I never been stabbed before. Firstly, ah spend my life huntin' fiends and raiders. Getting stabbed, shot, burnt, blown up, punched, kicked and bitten is just part 'o the job. Second, ah am thirty years old in a week or two, so ah do not need you people acting like ah'm five! Look, ah'll show you how Dr.Dave works"
Without even hesitating, Dave reached down and pulled the knife from his leg in a quick, clean movement. Samantha's attack had been to surprise Dave, not to actually hurt him. Because of this, the blade had not gone very deep, so no serious muscle damage was likely. Dave clamped a hand over the wound, to stop any more blood pouring all over his cream trousers.
"There's a role 'o bandage in mah bag, ah would be much obliged it one y'all went an got it." He turned to Jacob. "If you wanna get that book 'o yours, your'e gonna need me. Trackin' folk is what ah do best. So long as ah can walk".

Jacob rolled another joint when listening to what Dave had to say, he looked him straight in the eye's and nodding while Dave spoke

when the last word of Dave was spoken out he licked his joint and rolled it closed so he could light it, he raised his hand to Dave that he has to wait a couple seconds and searched for his lighter with his other hand. After he had found it he lighted it and took 2 drags then he gave it to Dave and made with his fingers the movement of smoking it then he finaly answered to Dave
Smoke this, ah pain killing herb. First look ef yuh can walk, den wi look ef yuh can track people down
Then Mister Coltrane tapped Jacob on his back with the top of his cane then he walked a bit closer to the group because when this happened he kept his distance to not walk in the way of the medical stuff. When he was near them he leaned on his cane, and spoke
At least you won't be slower as me, keep that in mind gentleman, I may have a cane but I can't walk like I am your age. well, shall we go then? I guess we got some bill to get payed off by that little tramp
Ray eagerly walked back and forth, getting his rifle out and constantly checking his gun, then holstered again to walk a few paces to get it out again doing the full check again. he Helped dave up and asked
you good buddy?, walk a bit for me, and take some more drags, I know the feeling I guess you gonna like it, and maybe its just the thing to walk now
They looked at how Dave walked a bit and if it would be okay enough they would let Dave do his Job and track her down
Meanwhile in cottonwood cove Samantha locked herself up in the slave pen, but before she did that she found an Machete and an grenade in a crate, with some rope next to it, she looked around and saw just the several abbandoned buildings, no more tents or flags of the old legion precence it had before. she made an tripwire with the rope to the grenade, and layed the book on it, then with the left over rope she locked the slave pen gate and sat on the groun with the machete between her legs constantly whispering "Kill, Kill, Kill" and before falling asleep she carved the word DEATH in the sand, then she fell in an uncomfy sleep.

Both Marilyn and Dave backed off, and watched Jacob and Ray handle the problem, they both thought of chasing after Samantha, but decided against it and wanted to make sure that she wouldn't catch them off guard, and for that they'd need Dave. They looked at each other, and walked over a bit, they needed to talk.
"Marilyn, you sure Jacob's gonna take care of you?"
"Yes, Liam. Like you said, I'm all grown up now, I can make my own decisions."
"I know, I know. I...It's just that Pops and Mom made me promise that I'd always look after you, no matter what. And I wasn't there for you the past few years, but I'm hoping we can reconcile. I know I didn't leave on good terms."
"That's fine, Liam. You're here now, and that's all that matters."
They both hugged eachother, for a long while, and they walked back over to the group, eager to find out if Dave was gonna be fine to chase after Samantha. Marilyn kissed Jacob on the cheek, and helped with Dave. Liam kept a little bit away, and was thinking of which friendly insult or joke he could say to Dave.

Dave wrapped and bandaged his leg. making sure no more of his blood would stain the sands today. When he looked up At Jacob, he was offering a roll-up down to him. Dave wasn't an idiot, and he had been young once. Over the years, Dave had been tried pretty much every major drug in the Mojave, and a few weird ones that people brought form the tribes to the east. Because of this, Dave new healing powder when he smelt it, and both Jacob and Ray had stank of it the last couple of days.
"Smoke this, ah pain killing herb. First look ef yuh can walk, den wi look ef yuh can track people down"
Dave pushed the powder away. "Thanks partner, but ah'm gonna need a clear head if ah'm gonna find Samantha. Don't worry about me, ah'll be fine". Already, Dave could feel his skin knitting together under the bandage. It was a slow process, and quite uncomfortable, but it never left a scar. It was one of the more successful implants Dr. Brookes decided to leave in his brain. Not Grandfather, always Dr. Brookes. Grandfather suggested at least a scrap of humanity. Dave stood up slowly, putting more weight on his other leg. He tested walking, and found out the implant had numbed his leg enough for him to walk fine.
"Alrighty then, let's go." Dave walked back to where he had been stabbed, there was a small sticky puddle of his own blood, as well as Samantha's tracks in the dirt. Dave kneeled down, thinking out loud.
"Well, my job has become infinitely easier cuz ah actually saw where the bitch was goin'. She ran east, to what end ah'm not sure. Maybe she's tryin' to run to the Legion, whatever good that would do. Well, it's start that's a hell of a lot better than what ah usually start off with. Let's go"

The group Followed Dave towards the pool of blood, and they listened to dave
"Well, my job has become infinitely easier cuz ah actually saw where the bitch was goin'. She ran east, to what end ah'm not sure. Maybe she's tryin' to run to the Legion, whatever good that would do. Well, it's start that's a hell of a lot better than what ah usually start off with. Let's go"
Marylin got back and kissed Jacob on the cheek he wraped his hands around her waist and gave her a kiss back then he let her go again and spoke to Dave

Then they packed up their stuff and they walked towards Cottonwood Cove following Dave. While walking Jacob and Ray eagerly started to harvest every Broc Flower and Xander root they could find, and Mister Coltrane hobbled at the back "Running" as fast he could with his Cane, his cane made fast taps as he tryed to keep up. His face covered in sweat as he walked all day, when the night fell he stopped walking
Okay, Gentleman I don't know how far it is going to be right now, but my foot won't step another pace today I'm done!
and with that he sat down on a rock, the only rock around here, there where hills and some fauna but only this was the only rock. Ray stood next to him and gave him a soft puch while looking at the Horrizon and said
ey old timer, I know your eye's ain't so good no more but look, I can see Cottonwood cove from this Distance man, lets plan what we're gonna do now, Liam and Dave I guess we need your oppinons on this
They all sat down near Mr Coltrane and waited what kind of Tactics would be advised

Liam and Marilyn followed the group closely, Marilyn stayed close to Mr. Coltrane, as he was struggling. Liam however, stayed with Dave, whom he did his best to assist in tracking the traitorous bitch that stabbed him. When they got close to Cottonwood Cove, he tapped Dave on the shoulder and pointed his gun at the ruins.
"Cottonwood Cove."
Suddenly, they had to stop for Mr. Coltrane. Marilyn sat on the rock with him, and did her best to comfort the elderly ghoul.
"ey old timer, I know your eye's ain't so good no more but look, I can see Cottonwood cove from this Distance man, lets plan what we're gonna do now, Liam and Dave I guess we need your oppinons on this"
Liam thought for a moment, and decided the best course of action, that warranted the least amount of damage was for Liam and Dave to scout up ahead, and try to apprehend the woman if they say her.
"I think that Dave and I should go in alone. I can't risk you four getting hurt."
Liam took no moment to wait for the others, and he headed straight for Cottonwood Cove.

Dave led the group across the desert. Samantha had obviously never been hunted before, because Dave could see her tracks by just glancing at the ground. She had ran in a vaguely straight line all the way to the Colorado river. Dave was unsure how finding Samantha was going to pan out. Dave had never travelled in a group this large. He always went on jobs on his own, or with another professional bounty hunter. These random people may make things difficult.
"Ey old timer, I know your eye's ain't so good no more but look, I can see Cottonwood cove from this Distance man, lets plan what we're gonna do now, Liam and Dave I guess we need your oppinons on this"
Dave kept quiet, he already knew his plan. Confront Samantha, try to make her see reason, and if that don't work, kill her. he tried and tested battle tactic of a bounty hunter. Before he could just go and do this, Liam piped up.
"I think that Dave and I should go in alone. I can't risk you four getting hurt."
Dave couldn't help but agree with him. The others, however much they meant well, weren't real fighters. Liam was a soldier, or at least used to be, and Dave had shot more people than he could count. He pulled his trail carbine from his back and followed after Liam.
Dave had been to Cottonwood cove before, he had been hired to assist in clearing it out after the second battle for Hoover Dam. He strode in front of Liam and quietly motioned towards a hill with a good view of the entire compound.

Ray, Mister Coltrane agreed with an nod and started to relax, Jacob on the other hand agreed but when they were out of sight he layed a kiss on Marilyns lips and said:

Jacob gave Ray the Joint of him and Ray saluted to him. he lighted it and smoked it while he saw Jacob look the other way around towards the Buildings of Cotenwood cove. Mr Coltrane already fell asleep so after taking a few puffs Ray looked towards Marilyn and hold the joint near her face
If You're gonna be Jacobs sweetheart you beter start to learn this is all part of his Religion and Culture, so I guess go give it a try, nobody is around here, The old bugger is asleep and your big brother and your baby are away on their business and I keep my mouth shut.
In the mean time Jacob had run straight towards the main entrance of Cottenwood Cove and when he was near the main Building he was greeted by a loud noise

Samatha had woke up an hour before the group arrived and her face looked like crap, dark rounds under her eye and she looked verry tirred but she looked beter now she saw Jacob. He came back FOR HER she thought so she waved at him and Jacob waved back she opened the gate for im and asked him to sit Down when he sat down he spoke to her

he got out his Guitar and started to play a song, he saw the book near the tripwire and the grenade. he would continue to play songs hoping by doing this he could buy Dave and Liam time to finish her off

Marilyn was anxious when Liam and Dave left, they would be going to get themselves shot. She felt scared when Jacob left, he wasn't a warrior, and he would definitely get himself killed. There was nothing she could do though, he had made up his mind. She was a little in shock when Ray offered her a joint of healing powder.
"If You're gonna be Jacobs sweetheart you beter start to learn this is all part of his Religion and Culture, so I guess go give it a try, nobody is around here, The old bugger is asleep and your big brother and your baby are away on their business and I keep my mouth shut."
Marilyn took the joint, and looked at it puzzled. She had no idea what a joint was, but it looked like a cigarette, and she smoked it like it was one. She coughed a bit, but the feeling was quite euphoric. Within a few minutes, she smoked the whole joint.
Liam set up a distance from Cottonwood Cove, on one of the cliffs to the north. He was extremely puzzled when Jacob went to her. He had betrayed Marilyn, and wanted to be with the traitor girl. He lined a shot up to fire at Jacob, and took it, but at the very last second, a rolling stone startled him, and it made him point towards Samantha more then Jacob, and it struck her.

Dave crouched next to Liam, watching Samantha sit in the cage. Dave thought he could see the word DEATH scratched into the hard ground, and shook his head. He spoke to Liam through the side of his mouth quietly as they watched her.
"This lady is of her rocker Liam. Best thing to do would be to put 'er down. I'll take the shot if you want me too"
Liam's reply was cut short when Jacob appeared from around the a sand dune. Dave jumped up and slid down the hill as quickly as he could. The implants had done their work, and Dave's leg was almost completely healed. He sprinted across the sand towards Jacob, trying to get to him before he reached to cage.
"The hell is that drugged up bastard doin'?" Dave thought to himself. "Liam, you better take that shot buddy"
Unfortunately, he was too slow. Jacob opened the cage door and sat down with Samantha. Dave slipped silently behind a building next to the cage. He couldn't quite hear what they were saying, but then suddenly Jacob's guitar started up. Dave swapped his trail carbine for his trusty revolver, pulling back the hammer Dave edged forwards slowly, keeping to the wall and making as little sound as possible.
At that moment, it wouldn't have mattered if Dave ran out screaming and banging a drum, as a thunderous bang sounded off from behind Dave. The bounty hunter smiled, Liam had shot the bitch. He strode around the corner, gun in hand, and opened the cage door.
"Jacob? get outta here partner, you ain't no fighter."
He gently but forcefully pushed Jacob away from Samantha, then leant down to check if she was still alive. Liam's shot had smacked into her shoulder, the large bullet shaving away a layer of flesh to show bone underneath. Dave crouched down next to the injured woman, and placed his revolver against her forehead.
"Question is...was it worth it?"
He pulled the trigger.

Jacob quickly grabbed the book away from the tripwire when Dave talked to him
"Jacob? get outta here partner, you ain't no fighter."
he just let Dave do his his thing and when the gunshot filled the air with a loud bang, Jacob spoke:
May Jah lay your soul to rest now, becah even di wicked are accepted inna his kingdom
Then he looked at Dave with the look of understanding, killing someone wasn't always easy but Jacob knew that for Dave this was normal. Jacob looked at the sky and it was about to turn Red, evening. Jacob always found the evening the most romantic time of the day. that remembered him, he needed to go to see Marylin. so he didn't even talked to Dave but ran straight towards camp
when he arrived there he was euphoric like hell. he ran straight to Marylin took a dive at her and kissed her straight on the lips, but when he did he smelled something different, Healing powder. he didn't cared if she smoked the herb she needed to tell her herself so when he was done kissing her. he sat next to her and tossed her the book. it was an book with leather outside, roughned up by the years, but the papers in still a good state, but turned a bit yellow. when everyone was back in camp he spoke
I finally found di holy book of truth! Lets tan here fah tenight an see wah fi duh tomorrow
and with that he layed back smoking another of his Healing powder Joint studying the book he recently found

Marilyn smiled as Jacob returned to camp, and with a book in his hands. That bitch was dead. Good. Nobody was stealing Jacob from her. She jumped up to hug him, but she stumbled a little bit, and was caught by Jacob. That cigarette that Ray gave her was mighty powerful.
She sat back down, and when handed the book, she began to read, but her mind was addled from the healing powder. She gave it back to Jacob, and laid down next to him. Marilyn then jumped up and sat on Jacob's stomach.
"What's the book about baby?"
She let her hands roam over his body, and made out with him.
Liam sat up on a hill nearby, watching the sunset come down, and when it passed, he began to walk back to the camp, and sat near the campfire, loading his brush gun. He carefully, and calmly walked over to Jacob's bedroll, and punched him in the face.
"I gave you my trust, and you return it by playing love songs to the enemy? Betrayal isn't treated kindly, Jacob."
