Mr and Mrs. Brown were drug addicted itinerate people from New Reno, the drug capital of the West Coast. They forced their troubles out on their daughter, young Hayley. She tried as much as she could to stay away from her parents, be it by spending time with other kids, or hiding from her parents. While young, no older then 9, a caravan of wandering performers caught her attention. She begged and pleaded for them to teach her their ways, and upon seeing the condition of this child, decided that she deserved a second chance at life. They took her aboard, and they travelled across the West Coast, teaching the young Hayley as much as they possibly could.

Some say that she was the prodigy of that group, the talent of all seven of them combined. The caravan eventually disbanded, after almost a decade of teaching Hayley, they decided that she would carry on, while the others, in their old age, would simply retire, and listen to the tales of Hayley the Singer. The caravan decided to make one final trip: Vegas. This would be where Hayley would gain her national fame. They used their combined funds to get her, and the Caravan Owner into the Strip. They were directed to Tommy Torini, the head of talent at the Tops. He was impressed enough to let 20 year old Hayley perform at the Tops.

She gained a lot of fame while there, reaching all the way back to Shady Sands. Some people said that her voice was like paradise, and upon hearing this, she took the alias of Ms. Paradise.
