OOC: Hi there Red, firstly, welcome to the Nexus. I see you've already made a character, which is nice. But we have a rule where you have to wait for 2 moderator approvals on your character before you join a thread. I took a peek at your character, and it looks to me that he's in America. This thread is based in England. I know the mods wouldn't allow continental travel to that extent.

Willem was already starting on his 3rd bottle of rum while at diner when he saw Alex come in. he stood up, opened his arms while still holding the bottle of rum and screamed to her completly forgetting his manners
Alex! your late, have seat you need to eat good because we have to work tonight, rum?
he tossed the half full bottle of rum towards alex and uncorked another one. he then sat back and waited till everyone was nearly finished with their food and then he stood up and walked towards the exit of the room. When there he grabbed his gun and shot trough the open door in the air, the bullet would probably end up somewhere in the sea but at least the crowd was silent now.
The one on serving duty have to clean this mess up, all the other prepare the ship for full work load. I also want the domes prepared, lubricated and cleaned. The engine room is already in good conditions thanks to Hans. all my other officers and Alex I need you on the bridge, oh and Ash you too. Dismissed
he then walked trough the door all the way to the stern of the ship and finished his bottle, now after three and a half bottle of rum he needed to hold the railing while walking and he had the feeling he would smash someone's face if they were annoying. so when he walked the stairs to the bridge he saw that all his officers where there, Hans, Ash, Alex and some other officers. he opened the door of the bridge on starboard side and walked to his desk opening a small drawer, inside that drawer layed some cigars of the brand "Gulden Vlies". He gave everyone who wanted a cigar and then took out the same drawer a zippo lighter made of wood and while he made the flame come out of the lighter he smiled to Ash. after he lighted his cigar he let the lighter go round and store it safly in his drawer afterwards. he then layed his feet on the desk and spoke
We need to seek a target, over yonder lies a map of Mid-West England. We need a small settlement. I miself thought of Formby but if you got beter idea's I want to know them
he then layed back enjoying the sounds of the sea while looking at how his officers would come with a nice plan for a raid, While he silently smoked his Cigar.

Alexandra silently walked over and sat near her captain, and she only piped up when Willem offered her a drink of rum. She barely caught it as it flew to her. She saw a glass in front of her, and poured some rum into that. As she drunk, she started coughing, it was mighty strong.
She finished her dinner quietly, and she quite enjoyed it. As Willem fired the shot into the sea, she looked up at him, as did all of the crew. Once the speech was finished, she cleaned her mess to make the job easier for the cleaner, and then she looked for a map of sorts. She found one on the wall not far away, and she made her way to the bridge.
Alexandra was the last one there, besides Willem. When he got there, he offered the officers and her a cigar, she wasn't a smoker, so she declined politely, and listened to his plan. She had no tactical history, besides small battles, so she stayed quiet and listened to the plans of the other officers.

Ash eventually reached the mess hall, where crew members were already beginning to stream in. He grabbed himself a plate and a fork, then moved towards the large table in the center of the room. He watched as the seats slowly filled, deciding where to sit. He found a spot near Hans and sat down, greeting him with a nod. He started loading up his plate with food spread out along the table, using his cook eyes to pick out the best possible bits. Then he returned to his seat, picked up his fork and waited for the signal to dig in.
Ash heard someone shout behind him. "Aye Lads! lets get some food! don't drink too much, we got work to do tonight!" Moments later, Willem, a little bit drunk, sat down beside him. He grinned slightly to himself. "Nice speech Cap'n." He lifted up his mask to just above his mouth, below the ridge of his nose. This was the most of his face he revealed in public, and only so he could eat. People before had tried to take his gas mask from him, in an attempt to reveal his face, but to no avail. To the crew, he had still never shown his full face. Ash quickly wolfed down the meal, then left the empty plate and cutlery on the wash-up table. He pulled down his mask, tightening the straps until he was satisfied. He was just about to enter the kitchen to help wash-up before he heard a gunshot behind him. He immediately crouched in an alert stance, turning to see who fired the shot. He relaxed a little as he discovered it was just Willem trying to get everyone's attention. "The ones on serving duty have to clean this mess up, all the others prepare the ship for full work load. I also want the domes prepared, lubricated and cleaned. The engine room is already in good conditions thanks to Hans. All my other officers and Alex I need you on the bridge, oh and Ash you too. Dismissed." Ash looked on in surprise for a moment, before striding towards the bridge, wondering why the Captain wanted him.
The walk to the bridge was shoot, only taking a minute or two. Outside the door to the bridge, Hans and a few others were waiting. Ash quietly greeted them all, before taking a place by the railing. After a few short moments the girl, Alex, arrived. He nodded silently to her as they all waited for Willem. They weren't forced to wait long. Willem opened the door and they all poured in. Some of the officers took seats inside, but Ash remained standing. The captain then offered cigars to everyone, using a working Zippo Lighter to ignite them. While some officers accepted the cigars, Ash knew they wouldn't do any good for his lungs, plus he only had eyes for the lighter. He hadn't seen a working one in his whole life, and the object astonished him. Willem simply smiled before storing it back with the packet of cigars. Ash felt a little sad after being denied access to the beautiful portable flame. "We need to seek a target, over yonder lies a map of Mid-West England. We need a small settlement. I myself thought of Formby but if you got better idea's I want to know them." Ash stepped forward, looking at the map as he spoke. "Captain, Formby is located between Blackpool and Liverpool. That area has a bit of a dangerous reputation." One of the officers laughed. "Boy, we're on relatively good terms with The Black. They don't pose any threat to us." Ash just smirked at this. "The Black are a large band of Raiders and Slavers. Not exactly the most trustworthy sorts. I know myself as, in-case you hadn't remembered, I myself was a Raider." The officer shut up for the moment, and Ash mumbled to himself. "Bloody Dutchman."
Ash continued. "As for Liverpool, it's infested with, well, pretty much everything in this wasteland that wants to kill you." Another officer raised their opinion. "But Liverpool is a little far south, so we could probably avoid it altogether." Ash nodded. "Well, there are some advantages with Formby. Its remote, so its unlikely going to grab the attention of the Royals or the Government. If they know we're raiding their towns, that's gonna cause a lot of problems." Willem interrupted quickly. "Tell me more about these 'Royals and the Government'." "Well, i don't know much myself, but they're pretty much the two biggest factions in the area. The Royals are apparently descendants of the original Royal Familiy and so believe they are entitled to leadership. The Government on the other hand follow someone named the 'Grand Minister'. They have numbers, land, and equipment. They ALSO believe they are entitled to leadership. The two groups have been warring since before my time."

While everybody was looking at the map, Willem silently layed his revolver on the desk and he loaded it with one bullet. He hoped a discussion came up and whoever lost the discussion would be taken out. Imediatly after he was done he saw that Ash started one with a strong opening, with one of the Landing craft officer reacting on it. The discussion started, and Willem listen as good as he could wile being a bit drunk:
"Captain, Formby is located between Blackpool and Liverpool. That area has a bit of a dangerous reputation."
"Boy, we're on relatively good terms with The Black. They don't pose any threat to us."
"The Black are a large band of Raiders and Slavers. Not exactly the most trustworthy sorts. I know myself as, in-case you hadn't remembered, I myself was a Raider."
Willem didn't heard the last word of what Ash said, but he knew his own officer was beaten by the new English cook so he interupted shortly. he stood up, pointed his finger at the officer and said:
You, Wait on the Stern near the Stern flag.
the officer left and walked downstairs to to the outermost stern part of the ship, near a pole with the Dutch flag on it, meanwhile Ash continued. Another Officer and Willem Listened, and even asked some questions:
"As for Liverpool, it's infested with, well, pretty much everything in this wasteland that wants to kill you."
"But Liverpool is a little far south, so we could probably avoid it altogether."
"Well, there are some advantages with Formby. Its remote, so its unlikely going to grab the attention of the Royals or the Government. If they know we're raiding their towns, that's gonna cause a lot of problems."
"Tell me more about these 'Royals and the Government'."
"Well, i don't know much myself, but they're pretty much the two biggest factions in the area.
Aye, then we'll talk about that later, lets foccus on Formby everyone dismissed. Alex, please wait here a seccond, Thank you. Ash, walk with me.
Willem grabbed his Revolver and followed by Ash he stepped out the Bridge on Starboard side. then they came on the Balcony of the Bridge, it was build you could walk from Starboard to Larboard, only by walking behind the Bridge or trough the Bridge. It also had a railing made of steel plate and a wooden side on top so you can hold your hands on it. They walked to the backside and when there they could see the Officer standing a floor lower then they where looking across the water, Willem spoke to Ash while looking to the Officer and giving the gun to Ash:
He is a landing craft officer, I have 4 of those officers. they command 14 people to raid, kill and loot. he is a dumb arrogant fool, you are smart and these lands are your home. you know things about here that are vital. so I'm offering you an officer spot, you still can stay cook but this is extra, you will do fine. If you want the job, shoot him, otherwise let him live and give me back the gun. oh and Ash, you know all officers have their own lighter? same as the one I have
He Looked at Ash and gave him a smile, before starring past the officer into the dark deep sea's waiting for Ash's choise.

The Captain soon dismissed everyone, asking Alex to wait and telling Ash to walk with him. Ash was intrigued, and followed the captain to his destination: the stern of the ship. Awaiting them was the Dutch officer from earlier, who was sent out during the discussion. The captain simply withdraw a pistol, checking it was loaded and handing it to Ash, all the while speaking.
"He is a landing craft officer, I have 4 of those officers. They command 14 people to raid, kill and loot. He is a dumb arrogant fool, you are smart and these lands are your home. You know things about here that are vital, so I'm offering you an officer spot. You still can stay cook but this is extra, you will do fine. If you want the job, shoot him, otherwise let him live and give me back the gun. Ohh and Ash, you know all officers have their own lighter? Same as the one I have." Ash frowned under his mask, before taking the weapon. "Sir, did you really think you could bribe me with a silly old lighter?" His frown twisted into a grin as he mumbled. "It seems you were right."
A loud bang echoed through the air on the stern of the ship, and the officer gasped as he found a hole in his throat before choking on his own blood. As an insult to injury, Ash took a step forward, pressing his foot against the man's chest and pushing him overboard. He handed the weapon back to Willem, before he coughed violently and then asking: "So, when do i start?"

Willem watched how Ash took out the Officer and he was delightfull when Ash returned. He holtered his pistol while listening to what Ash said:
"So, when do i start?"
Willem laughed and slung his arm around Ash while he walked with him back to the bridge. With his other arm he grabbed a lighter out of his inside pocket and gave it to Ash wile he said:
In about an hour we arive near Formby, so prepare yourself. Landing craft two will be yours. you take the right flank of the town while I will take the left. the other 2 crafts attack from the front and we need to crush the enemy while they are distracted. Understood? Happy Hunting Ash, Prove yourself.
He then Left Ash alone and entered the bridge, he said nothing to Alex but walked right to his Steering Panel. he then called the Engine room and asked if the Engine was running, it was, so he slowly let the ship start to sail, driving the power up to full speed in 5 minutes and when the ship was at full speed he waved Alex to come to the Wheel.
Alex, look how I do this. I want to learn you how to sail her, If you would like to
He kept the wheel for 15 minutes and then he looked to Alex, Winked to her and let the weel go. he then walked to the fridge who was in the back of the Bridge where he kept his own rum, he grabbed and uncorked it. he took a few good slugs from it before he placed it on his desk. He then slowly walked to Alex who was holding the wheel. When he stood right behind her he grabbed her hands and with his head near hers he helped her steering and explaining a bit
you need to think a bit ahead, the sea has current and wind. those things will drag you out of course so you have to steer against it, like this.
He showed it to her while still holding her hands but after awhile he let go again. and watched how she sailed to Formby, she was doing good, for a rookie so he let her stay on the wheel. after another 35 minutes he let the ship slow down and eventually stop. He then walked to the intercom of the ship and pressed a red button. a loud noise was heared and immediately all of the crew came together on deck level all standing in a square. Willem then pressed another button while he yelled trough the same intercom:
Aye Lads! the time is now! Fire at Will, and Prepare the landing crafts! United we Stand, Divided we Fall!
He then got a small walkie talkie out of the Steering pannel and before exiting the bridge he said to Alex:
Sit at my desk, in the wall is a larger broadcast system, its linked to my Walkie talkie. When we land you need to give Orders the the Dome's that they hold fire. if we need Artillery assistance I'll message you the target.
He then started to walk towards the Crafts where Ash and the Other crewmembers were waiting to be launched. meanwhile the Dome's where Aimed and loaded and while Willem entered his landing crafts 10 loud bangs where heared While the Shell's got fired. They all came down on the small town and in the meantime The craft where already on their way to the beach. still some 200 meters to go.
When they where 50 meters from shore another salvo of Shells came down on Formby, then the guns of The Red Liberator went Silent. 2 minutes later the Ramps of the Landing crafts came down on the beach of Formby and with the 60 man strong attack force storming the town, The attack was begun.

"Alex, look how I do this. I want to learn you how to sail her, If you would like to."
"I would, sir."
Alex knew not of how a ship was sailed, but if she was to be useful here, it was a simple, but important task. If she did well, Willem may see fit to keep her around.
Alex took the wheel, and got a feel of her. It was something else. For the moments she was in control, she felt powerful. Controlling such a large and powerful vessel. Her mind drifted for a moment, but quickly came back to the wheel when Willem came back and helped her.
"You need to think a bit ahead, the sea has current and wind. those things will drag you out of course so you have to steer against it, like this."
Alex began to countersteer with the assistance of Willem. She was guided to Formby, their location. It took time to get there, but once they were close, Willem took over and slowed, then eventually stopped the ship.
"Aye Lads! the time is now! Fire at Will, and Prepare the landing crafts! United we Stand, Divided we Fall!"
Willem picked up a walkie-talkie, and left the bridge, but not before she was given her orders.
"Sit at my desk, in the wall is a larger broadcast system, its linked to my Walkie talkie. When we land you need to give Orders the the Dome's that they hold fire. if we need Artillery assistance I'll message you the target."
"Yessir."
Alex moved to the desk, and sat down, looking at all the fancy bells and whistles. She had a feint idea on how to use intercoms, it was simple really, but this was a big intercom system.

Willem laughed and slung his arm around Ash as they walked back to the bridge. Once they arrived, the Captain grabbed a small pocket lighter and gave it to Ash. "In about an hour we arrive near Formby, so prepare yourself. Landing craft two will be yours. You take the right flank of the town while I will take the left. The other two crafts will attack from the front and we need to crush the enemy while they are distracted. Understood? Happy Hunting Ash, Prove yourself." Ash gave a throaty chuckle, then nodded. "Don't worry Captain, i assure you, Formby will be little more than smoldering ashes when we're done." Ash took his leave, slowly walking back to his quarters. He slipped his hand into his pocket, feeling the small item within. The lighter was both an item and a symbol. A symbol of command, of power. 'No more will i have to suffer arrogant fools who think they know of my homeland.' He thought to himself, thinking of the officer he had shot minutes prior. He pulled the lighter from his pocket and lit it, relishing in the small yet powerful flame.
Ash had taken five minutes or so to reach his room, and checked his gear. He performed his usual maintenance routines, making sure all the tubes were sealed, filling the tank, making sure all the valves were open to allow easy transport of fuel. Satisfied, he slung his weapons onto his back, and headed for the common room. The common room was a large open hall, with benches and tables scattered around. It was a place for relaxing when a member of the crew had no further duties. As he entered now, the place was rather empty, most crew members busy preparing for the raid. There were three men at a table, gambling away their caps to each other, and another man humming to himself as he lay down on the floor. Ash ignored all of them, taking a seat, sliding his arsenal off his back and dropping it beside himself. He withdraw his little pocket lighter, flicking it open, igniting it, then closing again. He repeated the action numerous times, each time losing himself within the orange glow. At some point, the mad who had been humming tapped him on the shoulder, asking if he was alright. All Ash did in return was look him in the eye then watch as he retreated, immediately intimidated. Ash smiled under his mask, before returning to the lighter in his hand. He briefly wondered how many times this thing could be lit before it needed to be refueled, but his thoughts were interrupted by a ship-wide alarm. It was time.
Ash waited outside of his landing craft, as a his squad slowly gathered around. They all piled into the boat, and Ash took his spot at the back. After everyone had taken a seat, he stood up and walked behind the pilot. "It's time to go." The pilot looked up at him, both confused and terrified. "Bu-but we have to wait for Smith, he's in charge of this team." Ash chuckled. "Oh yeah, there's been a slight..." He withdrew the lighter from his pocket, dangling it in front of the man. "...'change' in command." The man made a slight gulping sound, before nodding. "Yes sir, i apologize. We will get moving the second you take your seat." Ash nodded in approval, before walking back to his seat. "I'm glad we understand each other." As the boat started speeding towards the shore, Ash heard the sound of thunder behind him, and ten streaks of light were launched towards the town.

Thunder strike.
The day the citizens of Formby fell over their own dead in a struggle to survive.
The day had been going ordinarily, in fact it was the yearly Festival of Companionship in the small isolated town. Every man, woman and child had come out of their shacks and decrepit brick houses to share food, drinks and stories in an effort to keep the country strong. There were banners, dimmed lanterns and tables decked in colourful cloth.
But as everything in Formby, the celebration was muted. The necessity to be silent to evade the Ghoulish Horde had weaved its way into these stoic survivors. It was not out of necessity to talk so quietly this far away, but rather out of habit. Their laughs were stunted and short, but their faces bore all the mirth of any normal person - if not more, for body language was important to these people.
But the relative silence of the feast was broken by a cry, a shout of urgency, from the tall tower that guarded the town. It was an old, double decker bus - gutted internally and turned into a mti-tier, laddered watch tower. It was an amazing feet for the people of Formby, and it had given them the local nickname of the "Busees".
The celebrations halted and the town guard rushed for the wall - not to defend it, but to hear better the cries of the Watcher. They didn't need to wait so long. The town erupted suddenly in fire and explosions, a sharp screech of metal followed the collapse of the iconic watch tower. Shacks burst like overfilled Dirt Melons, showering the narrow 'alleys' in shrapnel and flaming debris.
People died immediately, but those who survived ran not for cover - but for their armoury. They knew this day was coming. The day the Government would come with their flame-bringers and set alight the ground that bore them. They had prepared, scavenging even the areas around the dreaded 'Ghoulpool' in preparation. Well the Busees had their own flame-bringers.
Almost everyone in the town took up arms, be it pistol or rifle, and ran to the shattered wall. It was scrap metal in construction and sturdy, but the collapse of the tower had left a debris-strewn breach that bore dull flames. They bore the heat, as they must, and took cover behind the chunks of the semi-molten metal.
Each Watcher bore a silenced weapon, and they went further. They crept around the unused ruins of buildings outside the small town, little more than walls that had yet to fall, and took position to defend their home.
Two, carried something heavy looking and draped in khaki cloth.
A final line.

While storming the shore's of Formy he went immidiatly for the left flank of the town. While running for a still standing part of the wall he saw that there where plenty of boulders and rocks to take cover behind. He ordered his man to take position 60 meters from the wall, spread 40 meters wide and lay some supresive fire on the wall.
When he was behind a big horizantal boulder, he asked his engineer for a couple sticks of Dynemite and some strings. Willem strung them toghetter in a triangle shape and took a quick look at the wall to spot out a little hole in the wall or something, when he found it he shouted another order "Give me a smoke-wall inbetween us and the enemy, im going in." His men quickly all trew a couple smoke grenades in and then continued to suppres the people of Formby who where on the wall
When the wall was created Willem started to make a run for it. He heared bullets kick in several places in the ground but could not see them because of the smoke cloud around him and when he finally reached the wall he started searching out the spot again. After a 30 seconds search by touch he found it again and he slammed the bomb inside of it, but before getting his lighter out to ignite it he grabbed his walkie talkie and said:
Blowing up the wall on left flank after this message is done. I also want status reports from you guys, radio them over. Alex can you look outside and give me a total report of how its going, Out.
Then he lighted the fuse and ran back to cover, he now even felt a bullet pass him near his right hip to then launch into the ground ,spraying sand in his face but got safely back to cover
he now waited for the blast to kick in and the status reports while taking a few slungs from his rum.

After a little while, Alex began to hear gunfire. The sack of the town had started. She looked outside briefly, and wished she was there. Alex began to wonder how marksmen were in the attacking force. One sniper can be worth 10 normal soldiers. But still, she was entrusted with operating the intercom. She sat back down at the console.
"Blowing up the wall on left flank after this message is done. I also want status reports from you guys, radio them over. Alex can you look outside and give me a total report of how its going, Out."
Alex sprinted outside, with a pair of binoculars, and observed the battle. Our forces were slowly, but surely winning. The strange thing was, all the people of Formby had some sort of suppression on their firearms. Unusual. She went back inside, and grabbed the microphone.
"We're pushing them back, but watch out, sir. They have silencers, all of them. No idea why, just keep an eye out. Over."
The shelling was hitting Formby hard, and Alex wondered how much longer they could hold out. If they were slightly more accurate, they could shell the wall, and blow it apart, killing the Watchers on the wall, and carving a way into the small town.

Thick smoke rose from the town of Formby, many of its streets alight in a burning hellscape. Gunshots echoed across the beach, occasionally interrupted by the loud booming of cannons. Ash's boat ground to a halt against the beach, his men rushing out and up the beach towards cover. They managed to occupy a small crumbling brick building, its roof collapsed and two of it walls missing. The men took aim through the windows and holes in the walls, releasing short bursts of fire in the direction of Formby's large metal barricade. Ash, realizing neither of his weapons would be within range of the wall, took the moment to survey the battlefield.
The Captains men were pushing against the left flank, advancing through a wall of smoke. The men who had taken up the middle were taking pinned, suppressed by a constant stream of fire from the town. Ash looked to the men in the building. "It seems our friends in the middle need a bit of a distraction to take some of the heat off them. What do you say we provide that distraction?" He received a few cheers from the men before him, and he smirked under his mask. Suddenly the ground shook beneath him, and he had to put an arm against a wall to keep himself from falling. He looked out of a nearby window, to see a large gap in the wall before them where a shell had recently punched through. "And there's our entrance boys."
Ash, following the example of the Captain, ordered his men to set up a smoke wall. He then took thirty men, while the others continued the suppression, to charge up to the wall with him. He closed the gap within a minute, bullets zooming past at his sides. A couple of pistol rounds hit him in the chest, but his padded vest managed to stop the small rounds from penetrating. When he reached the breach, and was met by two men holding suppressed pistols, and both were staring terrified at Ash. Or more likely, his hissing flame thrower. "Too close." He whispered, flames already engulfing the two men. Their screams lasted only seconds, before their charred bodies fell to the ground. After the breach was clear, his men began to enter the side of the town, some giving Ash shocked looks.
Ash began to step inside the town, when the walkie-talkie crackled at his chest, the Captain's voice speaking from it. "Blowing up the wall on left flank after this message is done. I also want status reports from you guys, radio them over. Alex can you look outside and give me a total report of how its going, Out." Shortly after, a dull boom could be heard from the opposite side of the town. "We're pushing them back, but watch out, sir. They have silencers, all of them. No idea why, just keep an eye out. Over." Alex replied a moment later. Ash took that as his moment to speak. "Probably just a precaution. We are dangerously close to town renowned for its ghoul population. It shouldn't be too much of a worry though, we should be done and dusted long before any large numbers of ghouls could arrive." He instinctively glanced over his shoulder at the mention of ghouls, then turned back to the town. "We've entered the town through a breach in the walls, should be seeing a lot more smoke from here on out. See you when the fun dies down." He chuckled, then put the walkie-talkie back.
Ash then waltzed down the streets of Formby, humming a nameless tune while pouring ghouts of flame across the surrounding buildings.

Formby was overrun. The townsfolk could not have expected the numbers coming from their shore. Radiation take the damned bastards.
But the Busees weren't going down without a fight. A slow retreat was signalled through the first breach in the wall, and from there the defenders fanned out across the town. The people were never trained for large scale fighting, but the hardened survivors were excellent at guerrilla warfare - the only warfare against Ghouls.
Silently they crept through alleys ahead of the advancing assailants, some stayed close to the holes in the wall - using the fallen debris as makeshift barricades. But it was on the surprise left flank that the defenders raced towards. Men and women, as silent as the grave, using the town they knew better than anything to launch surprise attacks upon the invaders.
They climbed buildings, nimbly and without fault - a they had done to escape Ghouls.
They took up place in secluded windows, using short bursts from their silenced rifles to disorientate and wound - as they had done to fight the Ghouls.
They never stayed in one place, flitting carefully through their broken homes like shades of a Damned City. A sudden burst of fire from the left, a single shot from the rear - deadly and silent.
But not all of the Busees were as silent. The time had come. At a well defended position overlooking the middle breach, two Busees pulled back the shroud covering their last hope. A long, sleek, well-maintained tube of metal - a group of shells that would erupt in all consuming fire. A Fire Launcher, as they knew it.
A Rocket Launcher - to everyone else.
Shoooom. And the breach exploded in fire and shrapnel.
They would take down those who would claim their land even if the Ghouls would come to claim their bones. Better a fair fight against Ghouls than an uneven fight against Men. At other points in the city shot flares, high into the sky to paint the sky the colour blood.
And the Demons of the North answered the call with scream and cries. The Doomsday Clock would tick on Formby - it's time was limited in but the time it would take the Horde to run. And the Horde was a dispersed thing, smaller numbers would be there before the main bulk.

After the explosion of the wall on the left flank Willem ordered his men to go in. The townfolk of Formby already falling back to the crumbled city and Willem doesn't wanted them to have time to regroup, so he Immediatly rushed after them.
When they went trough the gap in the wall Willem saw the various alleys with burning bodies lying around, he laughed. This was his masterpiece, his handywork and he was quite good if he thought about it
"Aye lads, let the others take main street we're swooping the buildings, stay sharp"
After that his squad began with the first house spraying bullets trough the small wooden windows before kicking the door in, they quickly ran up the stairs, Willem first. Opening the door to a room whom was totally destroyed by the shelling attack, and looked right into the barrel of a salvaged rocket launcher
"Aah fuuuck, take cover"
*Shoooom*
He saw the rocket comming right at him, his squad was still coming upstairs and Willem jumped out of the building followed by a huge explosion, when falling down he felt the enormous heat of the flames. After landing on debris of house he saw 3 townfolk a man with his wife and children, all armed with pistols but Willem never had any doubts about it. He pulled out his revolver and shot the man in the face, the woman and kid looked terribly frightened. He slowly stood up retracting his knife out of his right boot and started walking towards them. They both gave up quickly ans they we're round up near the beach, like some others. The 2 officers took the prisoners on the front line and rounded them up.
Willem got back to his squad he got his radio out and when he talked into it he saw red flare's bursting in the sky
"Alright playtime is over, listen all of you Ash rush for the townhall, wait for me there, Alex I want you to keep an eye out on the out skirts of the town while you try to shell those goddamn rocket positions, step it up a bit.
And with that he and his squad rushed trough the ruins, jumping over ledges and with hit and run tactics they crossed town. This was a dangerous move to pull, and he quickly found that out when his engineers leg was shot of by a teenager with a sawnoff shotgun. While the dust and smell of the gunpowder was still in the air Willem grabbed the boy and smashed his head on a brick wall, leaving him unconcious he draged him all the way to the townhall and when he found ash wasn't here jet he smashed the door and yelled towards the people inside
"Open up, I have a little boy here, and I guess he won't like it if his cremation came a little bit early in his life, I give you 10 seconds .. "
As he waited for ash, the countdown began ...
