I really want to make a story set in the state of Washington. Washington after the war is basically a frozen wasteland, Seattle is comparable to the D.C. ruins when it comes to danger and has extremely hostile locals. Anyone got ideas on factions, locations, maybe even Vaults? By the way, this isn't limited to just Seattle, the whole state of Washington is included. I'd be happy to hear any suggestions!

There were probably several vaults, because a lot of people that would be considered "high priority" live there and would be needing to be kept safe.
And the Brotherhood of Steel would almost definitely be there, since Washington would have a ton of old important information and technology to scavenge. Maybe a new faction of people trying to rebuild the old government because it was America's "golden time" and they think they have all the information they need from what few books survived, but it's incredibly flawed?

I'm afraid that since you're new, we can't give you the go ahead to start this new area. Most new area settings are usually worked through by either experienced members, or the mod team. I'm afraid you'll have to hold off on this until you've been around here a good while.

What Zel said. That being said, we do already have Oregon opened up as a region. If you want to start characters in an area regionally close to Washington, Oregon would be a good bet. Considering parts of the environment are similar as well- (especially in the mountain country). That being said, there are no BoS in the North West region. That's something that's been established by Oregon RP prior.

Oh ok, thanks for the advice. I kinda got a bit too enthusiastic, and I kinda wandered off. I think I'll take Oregon into consideration considering there already is some form of foundation in the area, thanks again!

Also, I've got one more thing to ask you real quick. Are the cities of Portland and Salem already covered in the Oregon RP? I'm asking this because I want to start some lore surrounding those cities. Thanks!-TheIsakovicMan

Yeup, Portland was actually done by Zelus. It's a penal-city of sorts, picture something out of Judge Dredd.
