Alei heard the alarm going off, the two hours passing like nothing. She resupplied her ammunition and made sure she had everything. She saw Vaht heading for the Phantom, following his lead and reaching the Phantom. She didn't know what she or her team were going to face down there, but she was ready.

Rah'mun decided now was the time, it had been roughly one hour and fifty minutes, it was time to go. He gathered his equipment and walked briskly to the Hanger. After looking for where his unit was, he quickly moved to his Phantom. "We finally begin" He muttered to himself, as he held on to the rail along the top. It was time.

The 25 Phantoms left the hangar, and forwarded like vultures to a rotting carcass, into the shield world. An unforeseen event, a Gravity Well, drew them into the artificial planet, seemingly engulfing the twenty-five ships. The carrier however, a great distance away, was not drawn in. There was a shutdown of systems on the Phantom, and there was no way to control it's descent. It crashed hard. All Zealots aboard were knocked unconscious due to impact, the Pilot, dead.
Covenant forces headed to the crash sites of all 25 Phantoms.

Blurry. Everything was a blur, all sound was barely a whisper. Alei propped herself against part of the wreckage, looking at her wounds. She was one of the luckier ones, it seemed. There was a thick, purple substance covering her left side, even leaving a small trail to where she first woke up. The gash was small, but deep. She knew what she had to do, realising she still had her Energy Dagger strapped to her wrist. She activated it after a few tries, it being seemingly damaged. Taking a deep breath, Alei stuck the flat side of her Energy Dagger against her gash. The smell of burning flesh was potent in the air, screams echoing through the wreckage. It felt like an eternity, but eventually the wound was closed. Alei crawled to the deceased Pilot, his body mangled, pulling a bandage from his body. She wrapped it around the wound, hoping it would suffice.
A single Grunt scouted the area around her, looking for survivors. It turned it's back to Alei, not yet noticing her. With a flick of her hand, the Grunt lay dead on the ground, pistol in hand. Alei snatched it from the body, rising from the ground. She had a new goal now; find Vaht, or any other survivors, and dispatch of any petty covenant forces in her way.

Rah'mun's head pounded as he rose from the pile of collapsed Sangheili. He looked around to assess the situation. The Phantom had crashed, the Pilot was dead, Alei and a few other Sangheili were unconscious and Vaht and the Field Marshall were missing. He contemplated waking them, but decided against it.
After a quick look at his equipment, he discovered that although his sword was still working, his Plasma Repeater's vent was damaged, rendering it useless after the first volley. He left it and poked his head outside. They were in a canyon, with a wide plain to the north and a forest to the south.
Rah scanned the canyon, hoping he might see any other survivors around. He then decided to head towards the forest. No sooner than he reached the edge did he see a Covenant Dropship land near the Phantom. He then slipped deeper inside the forest, putting as much distance between himself and the Dropship as possible.

Vaht was flung outside the Phantom when it crash landed, and fell unconscious like most of his team. The Field Marshal was out for a few minutes, and when he came to, he crept outside, and checked on Vaht. Vaht awoke, and reached for his rifle.
"Zealot Vaht, it is fine. You are fine. Your rifle should be around the site of landing. Since you are the only one conscious, I need you to provide backup in checking the Canyon."
Vaht nodded, and got up, and looked around for his rifle. It was located inside, Vaht grabbed it, and looked at Alei. Her side was bleeding profusely, and as he didn't want her to make much noise, he put some pressure on it, but had to go when the Field Marshal told him to come. He lightly laid a kiss on her helmet, and walked away with the Marshal.
They were about to come down, when the dropship came by. Even though they were Zealots, they couldn't handle all of them. Then they spotted Rah'mun Killamai. Vaht, being the smallest of the two, slid down the canyon, and stopped next to Rah.
"New one, you must stay with me. Our Field Marshal is up on that canyon."
He checked Rah for injuries, and satisfied that he would live, Vaht pointed at the Field Marshal, then back at the crash site.
"Stay here."
Vaht crept up, further into the canyon, and hid behind a wing of the Phantom. He eyed four grunts, a brute, and two jackals. The grunts stayed close to the brute, and Vaht used the only plasma grenade he had on him to throw it at the back of the brute. It stuck, and exploded, killing it, and the grunts. The Field Marshal shot over the shields of it, hitting it in the face, and retracting it's shields, Vaht jumped and pounced on it, stabbing it. The other jackal ran away, and was struck by the beam of the Field Marshal's weapon.
He walked into the Phantom, and looked at Alei, who had cauterised her wound. He sat in front of her.
"Zealot Alei, are you injuries severe?"

Alei quickly collapsed to the ground after standing, unable to walk properly. She made sure her newly acquired pistol was operational and decided to wait. Wait for... something, be it death or be it rescue. Explosions crackled in the distance. That meant fighting, and hopefully, a Sangheili victory. She waited a few minutes, and was overjoyed at both Vaht's arrival and safety.
"Zealot Alei, are your injuries severe?"
She glanced down to her gash.
"I... I will live. I do not have the streng-"
Her sentence was cut short by a sharp pain in her left side, the wound still fresh. Regardless, she managed to continue.
"Strength to walk very well...."
She glanced at the carcass of the Grunt.
"I will h-help if I can."
Another shot of pain hit Alei's left side, as she awaited a response.

Rah'mun watched as Vaht and the Field Marshal took out the covenant squad. He was impressed. After being snapped out of his little moment of awe, he rushed inside to assist in waking up the unconscious Sangheili. A few of them succumbed to their wounds, but majority survived.
He looked to the Field Marshal. "I am guessing that the other Phantoms would be crashed around the area, shall we go in search for them?" He knew they wouldn't be faring much better.
All the Sangheili gathered together, awaiting the Marshals orders.

The Marshal stood next to Rah, and shook his head. He didn't want to try searching, rather try to reenable communications to the Eminence.
"Not yet, Rah'mun. We should repair the communications. Inform the Eminence of our situation."
Vaht felt her pain, and lifted her up, and demanded to carry her. It was quite a struggle, but he could manage. He stood near the Marshal. The Team's medic was still out, and could properly assess her later. They began setting up a camp, as it was getting night time on the artificial world.

Alei lay at the camp, unconscious from both the excruciating pain and blood loss.

Rah helped with setting up the camp, it would be a boring and tedious task, but it was necessary to have a base of operations. As well as the now obvious Covenant threat, there was bound to be some kind Forerunner protection on this shield world. Rah gave a small smile, they had only just arrived and they were already fighting, this was definitely going to be a fun mission.

Vaht and the Field Marshal, upon completion of a camp, placed an unconscious Alei onto a makeshift bed, and picked up the rest of the crew, and did their best. They'd have to wait for the medic. The SPARTAN of their team was alive, but his armor seemed to be in lockdown. They'd have to wait for other SPARTANs to repair that. A transmittion of mostly static came through on their radio. They couldn't tell much, but made out three words. "Eminence, Contact, and Covenant." It sounded like the Covenant engaged in combat with the Eminence. The supercarrier could fend off a fleet of standard covenant ships, they just had to wait and see if they had anything else up their sleeve.

Alei awoke, a sharp pain still shooting into her left side. She gazed up at the night sky, wondering how long she had been out for. She turned her head to see Vaht listening intently to a radio. Once the transmission was over, she called him over.
"H-how long... how long have I been unconscious, Zealot Vaht?"
She struggled to ask, resisting the urge to once again faint.

Rah'mun helped out around the camp. Once it was set up, he found a log to sit on and decided to take a quick nap. He was in need of rest after the crash, and he was within eyesight his fellow Sangheili.
After he felt refreshed. He looked around the camp one last time then strolled over towards the Field Marshal, who was by the radio. There seemed to be trouble with the Graceful Eminence. He approached the Field Marshal.
"Your current orders, sir?"

Vaht stayed by Alei's side the whole time, not even sleeping. He lit up when she awoke.
"H-how long... how long have I been unconscious, Zealot Vaht?"
"A few hours. You're going to be fine."
Vaht didn't know for sure, but he saw the medic rise off of his bed. Vaht walked over.
"Greetings. We have crashed, inside of the Shield World. There are patients, are you feeling okay?"
The medic nodded and held his head, indicating a minor headache, he went about checking all of the patients. Vaht stood next to the Field Marshal, listening for orders as well.
"From what I gathered, it was the Covenant, they're on the planet, and also attacking the Graceful Eminence. The ship will be fine, but we will need to find a way out. I scouted around while you were sleeping, and there is an artifact south of here. Once our patients are well enough to move, we're go there. It is more defensible."
