Vaht had made the illusion of him heading back to camp for Alei, whom he had heard. After a while, when he spotted her circling around, he snuck up behind her, and warned her of her recklessness. The move she pulled most likely would have gotten her spotted and killed.
"That was reckless, Zealot Alei."
He walked back into camp with her, and made her sit down. He sat next to her, and hugged her. He had no reason to hug her, but he did so. He regained his composture, as people were starting to stare at him, and he spoke to her.
"But am I glad you were not caught."
The Field Marshal had also been scouting the valley, and he had been tracking a squad of SPARTANs that were approaching the crash site. He recognized them as the SPARTANs that had been assigned to the Eminence, and he slid down a wall in front of them.
"Field Marshal of Zealot Team 14. Follow me, SPARTANs."
He led them to the crash site, and most of the Elites had greeted them with open arms. To them it meant more assistance around the camp, and people to actively patrol around.

Upon sitting down at the camp, Vaht surprised her, obviously seeing her following him. She was surprised by the sudden hug, but didn't resist. "I can handle myself, Zealot Vaht. Thank you for your concern." She told him, slightly embarrassed that she was caught. "I never got the chance to thank you, Zealot Vaht, for saving my life." She said, smiling to him.
Her thoughts turned idle once again, her eyes scanning the camp. She realised that Rah'mun wasn't back yet, slightly worried about his. He did leave with weapons, so she assumed the best. She looked to the crash site once again, the smoke having thinned slightly more now. The fire wasn't as bright as it had been previously, however it was still very much alive.
She soon noticed the SPARTANs entering the camp, surprising her. She was glad for the reinforcements, wondering if anymore would come from the Eminence. Her thoughts turned towards the Eminence in general, wondering if the SPARTANs were forced to crash land here or really were sent as reinforcements. She approached one of them, asking "The Eminence, SPARTAN, is it okay?" She was somewhat worried, but fairly certain it would be fine.

Rah'mun strolled into the camp, first noticing the increase in its size. It was filled with oddly shaped soldiers, a kind easily recognizable. Demons, or 'SPARTAN's as they call themselves. He was first confused by their presence, then angered. The only reason they would come down here would be if they believed the Sangheili couldn't handle things. This frustrated Rah'mun immensely. He punched a nearby tree, in an attempt to vent his feelings. It worked to a degree, the splintered crater on the bark showing as much. He then walked into the camp, looking for the Field Marshal.
He saw them near the center, his squad-mates speaking with who he assumed were the commanding officers of the humans. He walked towards the group, greeted his squad-mates and nodded in the general direction of the Demons, then sat down on a nearby log. Although it was not uncommon for Unggoy to 'disappear', the body could still possibly be found. They would have to assault the site soon, before such a thing could happen.
In the meantime, he busied himself with the well-being of his team, seeing how they all were. He asked them each how they were putting up with the situation, as well as what had happened during his time of absence. He was a little shocked by how long he had actually been gone, to him the time went by much quicker. He also compared notes with Vaht about the Forerunner site, making sure he didn't miss anything.

Dominic marched his squad through the forerunner ruins, after a few minutes of marching they met up with the other two squads, and they moved on at full strength. Dominic was the eldest of the SPARTAN recruits, and considered the most able fighter, and therefore the other SPARTANS expected him to take charge. Dominic huffed in annoyance when they other recruits voiced this. He had sighed up to lead five men, not seventeen.
Suddenly, an Elite appeared out of the bushes, addressing the SPARTANS as a whole.
"Field Marshal of Zealot Team 14. Follow me, SPARTANs."
"Sergeant Vorkevskey, lead the way sir".
The crash site itself had been turned into a make-shift camp. Those wounded or traumatised by the crash laid on crude beds or huddled around a large fire. A few healthier soldiers were sorting through piles of weapons and supplies. Dominic wasted no time in ordering his men into position. "SPARTANS! Listen up! Sergeant Ramirez, you take squad two and cover the southern quadrant. Spread your troops out, I want this whole camp protected. Sergeant Jonstone, take squad three and cover the path to the drop pod. Move out!" The sergeants nodded and moved off. They had practised this formation a thousand times, and Dominic was confident their mission would be a success. He was about to move his own squad to cover the last third of the camp, when a female Elite limped over to him. Dominic had been around the species to notice she was worried.
"The Eminence, SPARTAN, is it okay?"
"It's fine ma'am, just a little confused. We've been sent here to give defensive support until The Eminence can work out a way of getting us off this planet"

"Thank you, SPARTAN." Alei replied. She scanned the camp, deciding not to sit back down. She walked around the camp, inspecting some of the wounded soliders. Compared to them, she was lucky. Slowly but surely, she continued circling the camp, eventually picking up in speed before reaching a full jog. She hadn't gotten much exercise since the accident, obviously. The Sangheili medic that had treated her seemed to be very good at his job, as she was now feeling immensely better.
She finished her jog, feeling somewhat refreshed. She gazed down at her wound once again, lifting the bandage to get a better look. Sure enough, it had healed rather quickly, although it was still noticeable. She doubted the scar would disappear any time soon, if at all. She sighed and sat back down, waiting for something to happen.
The field master soon approached her. "Zealot Alei." He addressed her, crouching down to meet her face to face.
"I understand you are feeling better?" He asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
"Indeed I am, thank you for asking Field Marshall." She responded, diverting her eyes to her wound.
"Hm. Do you believe you are combat ready?" He questioned. Alei wasn't too sure, but she was sick of waiting around.
"I believe so, Field Marshall. However, I have lost my weapons." She motioned to her Energy Dagger, showing the Field
Marshall that it barely worked. "Do we have someone who could repair this, Field Marshall?" She awaited a response, meeting the Field Marhsall's gaze with her own.

The Marshal shook his head at Alei's question. Their mission was the assess, the Shipmaster had thought not of Forerunner countermeasures that could result in damage.
"There is a forerunner site not far from here, we are going to take refuge in there. We may find weapons on the way."
The Field Marshal decided not to inform Alei of the combat that would be needed to take the facility, only the combat ready should know.
He called the CO of the SPARTAN force over, along with Vaht of his own force.
"Sergeant, Vaht. The Forerunner facility is occupied by Covenant. We need all of our men and women combat ready."
"Yessir. Ready in 10."
Vaht and the Marshal gathered all of the combat ready Sangheili, including Rah'mun and Alei. The SPARTAN did the same.
"The Forerunner facility needs to be taken. The Covenant are currently in there. We MUST remove them. Any questions?"

"Field Marshall" Alei spoke up, desiring an answer. "I do not have a functioning weapon, besides an energy pistol. It seems a some of the others are in the same predicament. Would there happen to be any spares?" The Field Marshall responded, after a few seconds of thought. He pointed to a small pile of weapons laying somewhat close to him, maybe a metre or two away. "See what you can find from the pile." He stated.
Alei took what she could, though there wasn't much to take. Alei took a plasma rifle, one of the two in the pile. After quickly making sure it was fully functional, making sure to hit the ground rather than an ally. With this, she was ready to go. She activated her energy dagger once again, sad it wasn't working.
To her luck, a familiar face came towards her. Rah'mun offered his own energy dagger, as he already had an energy sword of his own. Alei thanked him greatly and took it, moving the faulty version to her off wrist, seeing as there was no reason not too.

After Rah'mun had begun to settle, he began to grow bored. He was away that they would soon assault the Forerunner site, but until then he was doomed to wait once more. Rah had a run down of his current equipment, with little better to do. His repeater still lay somewhere, damaged and beyond use. His sword and dagger were both in working condition, with little more than a few scuff marks where they had been crashed into the surfaces of the Phantom along with himself. His armour was a little roughed up, but still contained most of its components and was still in working condition, and still generated an energy shield. His armour's cloaking module was slightly damaged, and he knew it would not be able to maintain invisibility for long.
Rah'mun contemplated looking for the weapons stockpile to replace his lost repeater, but decided against it. He was lucky enough to have his sword, while others were going without. He would leave the weapons for his comrades, they needed them more. With the condition of his equipment assessed, he decided to do another quick sweep of the camp. While he refused to admit it himself, Rah was somewhat grateful for the arrival of the humans. Majority of his Sangheili brothers and sisters were injured in some manner or form, and he doubted they would have been able to take the site alone. Soon he reached the weapons stockpile, which was pretty much just a large slab of metal from the Phantom with all their spare equipment laying on top of it. Standing beside the stockpile was Alei, who was checking the condition of her energy dagger.
Rah'mun watched for a moment, as Alei's weapon seemed to shudder and dissipate. With a better glance, he could see the weapon weapon itself was damaged, and they did not currently have the equipment necessary to repair it. "Zealot Alei, you seem to be having some difficulty with your weapon." Alei simply nodded. "It was damaged in the crash, along with the rest of my equipment." Rah'mun thought for a moment, before un-equipping his own energy dagger and offering it to her. "I already have my blade, this will prove of more use to you than I." Alei thanked him graciously, before taking her leave. Rah gave a small smile, before heading over to were Vaht and the Field Marshal were standing. "Vaht! Any more information about when the assault begins?"

Vaht, being the underling to the Field Marshal, and the second in command, had to discuss battle tactics with the Marshal. Their forces were depleted and some couldn't even walk. They would have to rely on ingenuity and surprise. The Covenant did not know they were going to attack.
"Vaht! Any more information about when the assault begins?"
"We cannot last here in this valley. It is strategically a weak position, and if the Covenant came here in a large number, they would overwhelm us. Our only hope is to reach the facility. Perhaps there is technology to allow us to communicate with the Eminence. We move now."
Vaht picked up his beam rifle. Luckily it survived the crash intact and still operational. It was somewhat damaged, but it would most likely last through the attack on the Forerunner construct. He hoped. He could repair it there.
The Field Marshal jumped up on a crate, and the remaining force gathered round.
"Comrades. We have to take this facility. Warn the Eminence not to send any more of our brothers and sisters into here. We may be few in number, but the Covenant have not felt the firestorm that is the Sangheili people for years. Today we teach the scum that this land is Sangheili. We drive back the covenant, because we are the only ones that can. We leave now."
The Marshal was not one for speeches. He liked to get the job done, but it would boost morale. Probably. The Marshal took the lead, up the mountain path towards the facility. Those that wished to follow, did. Vaht was walking next to the Marshal. He looked back and guesstimated that there was little over 20 that joined them in battle. Some of their equipment had failed, some of them were weary and wanted rest. But they had to fight for these luxuries, as they did in the old days.
