Technically I'm a day late on this but whatever. Honestly I haven't really accomplished anything this week, as I've mostly been bogged down by my pathfinder game. I did get the intention to make a new logo, but as it turns out I don't have any kind of photoshop on my new computer. Not sure what I'll do to cover that, but I'll figure something out at some point. Additional shoutout to Janitor of all people for being the first one to check in. I wasn't expecting anything so soon but I'm glad to see at least someone is checking up. No greenlight on anyone starting an RP. We've got too many things to do with the site and while I'm all for ongoing updates, we've got to at least get things at an acceptable level before we move on to the fun bits. Made that mistake too many times in the past and it just nukes my ability to get anything done. To sort of answer part of a question Janitor asked in PM publicly if anyone else reads this anytime soon - I'm hopeful that we can get people back to RP. I know a lot of people have expressed their interest in coming back at some point or another and my hope is that things haven't changed in that regard. Obviously once I figure out what the hell is going on, I plan on hitting up Dawg to help me out if she can, and from their we'll contact the rest of the old mod team. After we get something more useable it'll be time to sent out mass emails to everyone who used to be here to see if we can convince them to come back. Additionally, after chatting with Zen a little bit, I'll be throwing up a discord at some point for the site. Between mobile games and this pathfinder game, I've pretty much got it figured out how to make a nice, functioning discord. To be perfectly honest I don't much expect there's anything better for communication anymore, and while the cbox was nice sometimes it was a pain in the ass to get in the code the last time I tried, and I remember it having issues. Plus with discord we can have plenty of extra channels, custom emotes, voice channels, cool bots, and a whole plethora of other stuff. That's all for this week. ShockHelix out.

So for the all of the zero people that are paying attention to this, I did a little bit of work on the site. Some progress is better then no progress. Since I'm using these news threads I could never keep up with before to keep track of things, going forward you'll be able to find important information about what I've done and why. You can think of this like a changelog I guess. - First things first, I got rid of the old skin and all the broken images. Thanks a lot photobucket, really appreciate you screwing over everyone that used you for image hosting. Obviously, the intent here is going to be to make a new, nice looking skin. Problem is I still no next to nothing about proboards site design since the update so long ago. I guess I'll have to cross that bridge eventually. Oh well. Imgur will probably work for the image hosting, hopefully.
- Second thing, is I archived. . . well pretty much everything. I left the staff stuff in the staff board, and probably need to make a staff only archive for that, but then again maybe it's best to keep those threads where they are so we remember the problems of the past and how we dealt with them. I left all the creation stuff where they are, for the most part anyway.
- Archived the Halo stuff and deleted the boards. While I love Halo, we never really used it all that much. Maybe it's something to bring back after Halo: Infinite comes out, but at the moment all it does is fill the same role that Star Wars does as far as its setting goes, and it's no wonder it didn't get a ton of interest. I made sure not to delete anything we made for it though, so maybe it'll come back some day.
- Got rid of the boards for Legacy of Chaos and archived all of that as well. It was a great concept, but done too inefficiently and wasted time distracting people from other threads. Not to mention with all that stuff I never got around to finishing site design in the first place because of time spent on LoC and RP. Gotta complete the house before you try to live in it I guess.
- Lastly, I got rid of Freeform as well. Same reasoning more or less. While I love the idea of freeform and the ability to RP whatever you want, I feel like in hindsight we never used it properly. Always wound up in too many threads, with too many ideas, and it always ended up where someone or another wouldn't get around to posting because one thread in particular grabbed their devotion.
That's it as far as the current changes that are made, though with what I've said about the sections I removed, I think I'm going to probably look at adding a rule about thread limits. Both for the number of people that can participate (poor Returned) and the number of active threads you can participate in. It's never a good idea to overextend yourself and I think a lot of us were doing that without even realizing it. 3 sounds like a good number, but I don't know, we'll see. Thats all for today. We'll see if I manage to get anything done by this time next week. Probably not, I decided back in November to GM a Pathfinder game on Myth-Weavers, so that's gonna take up some time. Zen's playing with me, so maybe I'll be able to convince him to come figure out this code. He's pretty swamped at the moment though, so that may be a long time coming. ShockHelix out. Additonal Note: Looking at this after it's posted, the text looks horrible when there's so much of it together. Get a different font or change the font size or something so its easier on the eyes.

[Obligatory "Death also has a bunch of stuff on his plate (like a final next Tuesday) and is also too out of practice to write at his best, but will also put something up to keep things moving" OOC disclaimer.]
Siri stepped off the X3M shuttle she'd used to escape the section of the wards she was staying in, walking briskly through the strangers of the Citadel. She made sure not to move too quickly, otherwise she might raise another C-Sec officer's suspicion, which after having evaded them three times already today, she wasn't thrilled about having to avoid them any further today. The human jacket and tank top were unassuming, and with the asari style pants she was wearing, she just looked like another person having a casual day out. except she wasn't legally allowed to wear the biotic amp yet, and the first C-Sec officer who had been supposed to get that problem taken care of for her had decided to have a change of heart, and she'd been forced to kill him before he could get anyone else involved.
Despite the mornings problems, she stepped inside the greeting rom of the location advertised in the ad. The volus businessman was offering a good sum for. . . Something, but not having the full details of a job wasn't high on her priority list. In fact it was typical of jobs she used to take back on Omega, the less you put in the advertisement, the less the wrong person was likely to find out about it.
The greeting room wasn't all that telling, and was mostly empty except for the receptionist sitting off to one side. Siri was fairly certain she was late - a payout like the one advertised was unlikely to have a small turnout - and a quick conversation with the employer-to-be's assistant confirmed as much. It took a short bit of convincing, but the secretary eventually directed her to the conference room where the briefing was taking place.
She'd hoped to come in quietly and unnoticed, but as the door slid open a human across from her was introducing himself. He looked surprisingly heavily armored for being out on the citadel, but she quickly took note of the lack of weaponry. It seemed the others in the room followed the same suit, and she'd not brought a weapon herself, but she doubted any of them were harmless. The asari seated at the table would be at least passably skilled in biotics, the drell she expected to have a few knives hidden somewhere, and the turian. . . Was wearing something that looked suspiciously like an off duty officer of some kind. C-Sec, Military Police, it didn't quite matter, but she'd have to keep an eye on the lot of them if this was going to be a by the books job.
Siri headed for a chair, staying silent as the human talked, noting the movement of his Omni-tool - probably sending a more detailed list of his qualifications to his new employer, typical the first time you worked with a new contractor. She took the moment to pull up her own fake 'resume' as the human made his jokes, sending it off to the volus. Unlike her real history, most of the jobs listed were technically legal, carried out by unidentified operatives for various agencies, most of which played to her strong suits. A few additional ones were jobs of questionable intent she'd actually participated in so she could give more details if needed, but only ones that hadn't been directly tied to the Eclipse. It had been part of the deal with acquiring her new identity, and so far no one had been able to discover her secret.
The human finished talking, and an expectant look gave her the impression she was supposed to go next. "I see I missed most of the meet and greet. . . Well, I'm Sirinithia M'doris." The name felt strange on her tongue, but she'd abandoned her old name completely in favor of her new identity. No point dwelling on the past.
"I've been a mercenary since I was young, mostly on contract for different organizations in a quiet role. I work best at infiltration, acquiring information, and keeping the collateral damage to a minimum. If something needs hacked, I can get in and get what's needed without leaving a trace, and if you need something done I can do it without having to kill anyone in the process." That sentence came out a bit more as bragging then she intended, but after the human mentioning thresher maws it didn't seem too out of place. It also occurred to her that mentioning murder probably wasn't the best idea in front of law enforcement of some kind, but that was a habit from Omega she hadn't mentioned to break herself of yet. Being able to do something without killing anyone was a rare trait among the gangs after all.
She resisted the urge to put her feet up on the oval table, something probably frowned upon in the Citadel. "Of course, you have my files, so you can see what I'm capable of. If no one has any objections, might we dispense with the pleasantries and you tell us what the job is? I assume I haven't missed that part yet if negotiation for fighting thresher maws is on the table. "

Name: Sirinithia 'Siri' M'doris Race: Asari Gender: Asari Age: 73, born in 2112 CE Appearance: Siri possesses a soft, rounded face with wide cheeks that sometimes gives her face the impression of a lingering smirk. Her dark blue eyes are evenly spaced above her pinched nose, deep set in her head that with her smirk gives her resting features a mischievous appearance. Covering her forehead and the sides of her face, curving down the back of her cheeks are a number of symmetrical white markings, similar to those sometimes seen on other Asari. Siri stands at 5'6", slightly shorter then other Asari, her body lean and athletic from her time spent as a mercenary. From her time as an Eclipse merc, Siri kept a set of her lighter armor, recoloring the yellow with a more reddish hue and making sure to remove any marks that might identify the origin of her gear. Combat Style and Equipment: In the way of weapons, Siri doesn't rely heavily on firepower, preferring to stay out of the line of fire when possible. Recognizing the need for at least something to shoot, she carries a suppressed (and like most of her gear, illegal) M-11 Pistol. Her main source of combat effectiveness come from her disc shaped, modified Assault Turret, which she controls with a Serrice Council Omni-Tool. Using Tech to augment her armor and shields, she also carries a few other toys - arc and homing grenades, trip mines, and a flamethrower modification on her Omni-tool. When pushed to it, Siri can fall back on her biotic abilities, not trusting enough to go anywhere without at least wearing a biotic amp, stolen from a Serrice Council shipment along with her Omni-tool. When possible, she prefers to stay out of combat completely, choosing instead to use her knowledge to do the less dangerous jobs of hacking subsystems, sneaking around, or opening locked doors. Personality: Siri is playful, teasing, and mischievous, preferring a good time to a tense situation and usually making poor jokes when presented with worse situations. Though still in the stage of her life where she yearns for adventure, there's barely a heroic bone in her body, and she's more likely to run to stand and fight if the odds aren't in her favor - a tactic that kept her alive during her time on Omega. Having lost of a fair number of friends throughout her life, she avoids forming any close relationships, choosing to play the social butterfly with no strings attached. Overall, Siri is rather irresponsible, regularly running late, procrastinating, and generally choosing not to take events too seriously. Background:Siri was born to Asari parents on Omega, which wasn't a particularly easy childhood. One of her parents was a mercenary, regularly off on different jobs, before eventually one day they never returned. Her other parent was an engineer on the station, struggling to make ends meet. Though raising an Asari child on her own wasn't unusual for her species, being on Omega didn't make things easy for Siri's mother, and her mother often recruited mercenaries who'd worked with her mate to watch Siri while she was busy working. In this way, Siri picked up a number of bad habits, learning to fight from the makeshift babysitters, until she was old enough to watch herself. Her mother began to teach the young Asari what she knew of tech, and in her curious nature Siri began learning to hack from some of Omega's less then reputable individuals. Her life moved on in this manner for many years as she grew into adulthood, eventually learning to siphon off a few credits here and there from local vendors, and developing an affinity for running away when she got caught. Eventually, as she grew into adulthood, she began working with her mother at repairing tech on commission. It was boring work, and as her mother continued saving to get the two of them off Omega, with dreams of moving to Thessia, Siri found herself spending more and more time with mercenaries around Omega. As her mother finished off saving to book them a flight off the 'heart of darkness', Siri both surprised and disappointed her by choosing to stay. The two didn't part on the best of terms, but with her mother gone Siri quickly found she needed a more reliable means to pay for food, housing, and 'protection fees'. Having had success before and thinking she'd have no problem joining with her abilities, Siri signed up with the Eclipse Mercenary Gang. What she'd not expected from the entry requirement was that she'd have to kill someone. It wasn't something she'd ever thought she'd have a problem with, having grown up on Omega and seeing her fair share of bodies, but her conscience didn't agree with the bloody act and her first kill. After a few years with the Eclipse, she managed to work her conscience out of the equation. Mostly using her talents to break into things and steal from others with the Eclipse, she did relatively well, making plenty of credits to keep herself happy, and stealing what she couldn't buy For a criminal at least, things were going well, with nearly thirty years of success. When the Geth attack came to the Citadel, it seemed a galaxy away, and she tried not to pay too much attention to it. Things were great for her. And then Archangel came. The feared, nameless Turian came with a vengeance. Omega and its gangs hadn't seen before, and strike after strike on the Eclipse had most of the crew she ran with scared to leave their apartments. Siri was no exception, and she'd always been one to run from trouble anyway. With things going so badly, it was only a matter of time until her crew had a run in with the vigilante. After getting shot in the side, Siri ran, managing to patch up her wound with some medi-gel. With everyone else she knew either dead or missing, Siri laid low for a few weeks, unable to bring herself to go back to the Eclipse. If they realized she hadn't died in the fighting, or even worse realized she'd run, it was possible they'd finish her off themselves. Using the majority of the credits she'd saved, she paid a few black market brokers to clear her records and find herself a way off Omega. She left most of her belongings behind, only taking her equipment and a few changes of clothes with her. Having a clean slate, she hopped planets, bribing her way past customs where necessary, exploring the galaxy, before eventually setting her sights on the Citadel once her credits started running low. She'd always heard the mercenary jobs there were safer and more lucrative anyway, and a part of her was already yearning for some proper excitement again.

I think most people are still around here somewhere, or could be contacted to return, but are just busy with one thing or another.
Basically, and unfortunately, most of the mod team are too busy with real life at the moment to get things back rolling.

“For now,” Mavros agreed, as Iola bid him farewell, and turned to go. “It was a pleasure meeting you, to be certain.” He watched Iola as she walked away, noticing her turn to give him a smirk, and he offered a smile of his own, inclining his head respectfully. She disappeared into the departing crowd, lost in a jumble of bodies and weapons. Mavros turned away then, where the turning of the ship framed the city of Vale in the window. He made sure to keep his brothers effects in his peripheral vision of course though, it wouldn't do to have those disappearing. The hunters to be were unlikely to be thieves but he doubted the entirety of the crew was as trustworthy.
From the heights of where Beacon sat, Mavros could see the entirety of the city below him, even the isle of Patch further out in the oceans surface. He'd need to familiarize himself with Vale sooner or later, considering he and his brother would more or less be living here for the next few years. If they were allowed to select their teammates, he would have to make sure they picked a local as one of the two. Knowledge of both the area and local customs might prove invaluable. That was unlikely though, and if the selection process was performed in a manner similar to Atlas, the pairing would be a simple selection of who Headmaster Ozpin and the other professor's thought would work well together, based on their transcripts.
If that was the case, Mavros might find himself on a team with the other Atlesians. That could prove interesting, depending on how many there were. Having already met Iola, that would be simple enough, and he had heard that Weiss Schnee would also be attending Beacon. He wasn't certain if there was any one else coming from Atlas, but Iola presented an air of confidence, and he had little doubts the Schnee heiress would be a valuable teammate.
Mavros turned from the window, seeing the last of the other students had finished their departure of the airship. He doubted the captain would leave without making certain everyone had made it off, but his brother still hadn't returned. Idly, Mavros watched the city below, wondering what could be keeping his brother.

Okay, few things. First and foremost, which is relevant to other information, is that I'm going to be 'gone' for the next few days. My EMS Station has a Rodeo and Festival to work at, so i'm basically going to be busy from 6am to 10pm until Wednesday.
So, what that means is that, I know I'm up on the Atlas ship, so either Ghost will post his characters return before then, or I'll post as soon as I can if I somehow manage to get some free time with access to a computer. Wake, you've basically left the rotation for the Atlas ship, and created a new rotation for being at Beacon, so as soon as someone else lands you can interact with them if you want, or move your character on to the main hall, though of course everyone will need to be there for Ozpin's speech.
For the rest of you, since Butter is on your ships, landing depends on what his plans are on those ships, though I doubt they'll be drawn out much longer.
Arte, as for your characters, Marigold looks okay, so you can bring her in when you want, though the other three we'd like you to finish up and let us see the full picture before we make any judgement there.

Yeah, I'm not certain what Butter is planning to do with his post for the Vacuo/Vale ships, but I was trying to leave my post open for Iola to react as she would to Glynda's intro. If there wasn't anything large you wanted to add there Wake, then yeah, Atlas ship is pretty much done. We don't want to overdo things on the ships anyway. If you'd like Wake, you can have the Atlas airship 'dock', or if not I can edit my post to have that occur, though Mavros will be waiting there for his brother to get out of the bathroom.
One more note, is that at the beginning of V1Ch2, we see two other airships in the sky overhead, but the landing zone seems to be completely encompassed by the single airship. I wanted to point out that this is a byproduct of the earlier rendering/design, and not the actual size of the front portion of Beacon. In V3Ch3, we get a brief views of the docking area, which we can see is much larger then originally designed in V1, so there should be no problem in all of the ships docking. Vale ship gets the center position of course, based on what we see in V1Ch2, but the rest are free do dock on either side, an if we want we can even ignore the Mistral ship, since none of our characters came in on that one.

Mavros listened to Iola curiously, face held in a blank, unreadable expression. The answer she gave wasn't among any of the ones he had expected. Inspiration from the parents was, but there were parts of it he wasn't entirely certain he understood. 'I am colour' he certainly did not. It seemed Iola fancied herself a philosopher of some sort, a trait that Mavros added to his mental list of descriptions for the huntress in training. No, she definitely was not a soldier, that much was clear now. If he had to guess, he would wager she still held onto that same innocence that so many people in Remnant did. She would lose that innocence, either during her time at Beacon, or after becoming a huntress. At least, she would if it didn't kill her first. He felt sadness for her, in that regard.
He considered asking her to elaborate though, in case he had misunderstood her stance on matters of the world, but the chance was taken from him abruptly. On the other side of the ship, a screen flickered to life, the appearance of one of the teachers at Beacon presenting itself before him. He recognized the woman with her white and purple attire, blonde hair, and glasses as Glynda Goodwitch from his time spent studying the school. Turning his attention away from Iola, he watched as she began an introduction for the students.
“Hello, and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsman and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world.”
The screen flickered off again as the introduction ended, and Mavros grunted softly. Somehow he had expected something more... formal, at least. Or informative, as little information as was given in her introduction. In his study of the school, he'd found very little concerning how the first trial would be held, or how the teams were selected. Beacon certainly did not have the amount of structure he had hoped for, and it definitely did not compare to Atlas. Outside the airships grew closer to Beacon, preparing to dock and let the new arrivals off the ships. Mavros almost tingled with anticipation.

Mavros nodded his head silently in agreement with his brother. Hope that Vale would be more orderly was vain, but he couldn't fault his brother for that. Regardless of the kingdom's faults, Beacon was often considered the most prestigious of the four academies. Some of the most famed hunters and huntresses had come from Beacon, and Mavros could only hope to one day match their accomplishments, unlikely as it was. If he was truly fortunate, he and his other teammates would follow Lefko and himself into the Atlesian Specialists unit. That his brother would be his teammate was already a foregone conclusion in his head.
Iola's agreement brought no immediate surprise, save for what followed after. It seemed the huntress in training shared a similar viewpoint of their mother, who had insisted the brothers attend Beacon Academy, rather then Atlas. Intelligent of her. In truth, it was wise to experience other cultures, and expand their horizons. The more knowledge one had, the more ways that could be found to put knowledge to use. And it was well known that specialists did not only operate within Atlas borders. In fact if rumor was to be believed, General Ironwood had sent specialists on missions throughout Remnant on behalf of the governing councils of each kingdom, though any truth to those rumors had remained classified.
Mavros nodded his head again respectfully as his brother announced his departure to the bathroom, with a studying look. Had his brother looked... Pale? Certainly not, and Mavros dismissed the notion as a trick of the light. This was their first long journey in an airship to another kingdom, but Mavros had not been bothered by the trip at all. Then again, he had eaten a smaller breakfast then his brother that morning. He had left his effects on the bench, no doubt expecting Mavros to look over it, though he had no concern for their safety. A thief among hunters and huntresses would be an unsettling thought, but unlikely at that. Iola seemed to notice as well, indicating it in case he had not noticed. Intelligent and considerate then, at least on the surface.
"I expect Vale to be much like Atlas... only more interesting."
“Perhaps,” he said warily. She was staring at him now, seeming to watch for his reaction. Not one to disappoint, he decided to give her an honest answer of his opinion, if that was what she desired. “Myself, I fear it will be far more interesting. You see, our mother is a huntress from Vale. From what I was able to gather from her, there is far less regulation here, much less order. I believe it extends to Beacon as well, though I couldn't say in what fashion. Her exact words were that 'Vale will keep you on your toes'. In truth it was at her behest my brother and I have chosen to train at Beacon. . . What about you, Iola, if you do not mind my asking? What brings you so far from home?”

And now, if I've done it correctly, here are the possible 4 letter combinations of either first or last name that could make up the team name. Remember that each of these can rearrange into 24 different combinations.

For the Vale ship at least, you guys aren't quite done just yet. Your ship for certain has a few events going on, such as the news articles about Faunus Riots, Roman Torchwick, Glynda Goodwitches introduction, and lastly 'Vomit Boy' And hey, I expect there to be more typos in there then that. The whole thing is a maze of bbc code, what with all the spoiler tags and list items and font colors and just the sheer amount of text. Good catch though, let me know if anyone sees anything else As for the second team, with the gender bent motif theme, we do have the four characters for it. They are my own Mavros, Stel's Oliviaer, Butter's Tsunsy, and Kap's Gwyn. I haven't worked out the possible four letter combinations of the eight letters yet, but if all goes to plan, I'll have them listed here by the end of the day, so everyone can have a look, see what they can come up with.

Alright, so, important update time.
After a day's work, I've managed to update the info hub with a lot of important information.
First and foremost, is that everyone's characters to their current point of completion (which specifically means I put TBD on them until it's either revealed IC or we wrap discussion up on how to implement them) has been copied into the hub. I didn't include pictures for the moment because I was having some issues with the coding, but myself or Butter will try to make links for them inside the spoilers later. I also changed the layout of each profile to match, so it'll be consistent across the profiles, considering everyone designed their char sheet differently. So now, instead of having to sift through the story planning to find the character sheets, they're all on the hub on the one single page, contained in spoiler tags under their respective locations. And last, but most importantly about this, is that I've included the hex codes for the color of text everyone is using for their PC's. Now if you're in a conversation, or writing a post, instead of having to use the quote or edit function to figure out what font color is being used, you can just copy the code in the "IC Talk Hex Code" underneath the relevant characters info, right at the top, and you should be good to go.
Second, and less important, is that I've included every NPC listed in each of your characters histories (or tried to anyway), organized by location. Each of these have some small amount of basic info, and in some places I guessed on things myself. If you see an issue with anything I put down, or names I used for the organization, just put it here in the story planning and I'll see about getting it fixed.
Third, is that I included basic information on 5 of my own NPC's. They're pretty irrelevant now, but expect to see them later. I'll add more information on them as the story progresses and the characters learn about them IC. It's more then I'm used to giving away this early, but hey, that's what the hub is for.
Lastly, for those of you who we've been talking about characters, semblances, or other things over PM, don't worry. We know we've been quiet, but Butter and I have been busy at alternating times so we haven't had much chance to discuss things and get back to you. Also, if the thread slows down for these next few days, it's okay. We know some of you might be celebrating the 4th of July, just don't forget to get that post up as soon as you get the time. Threads been moving quite smoothly so far for having seven people involved, and it'd be great to keep that momentum going.
